Jonathan Nkoola



Mr. Nkoola is a Board Member with Environmental Alert . His professional career spanning over 20 years has been dedicated towards supporting the building of inclusive financial systems to unlock opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Africa. He is currently a Senior Project Manager with Frankfurt School of Finance & Management one of Europe’s renown business schools. In addition to leading project teams, he actively participates in implementation of a diverse portfolio of development finance projects. Typical assignments include capacity building for financial institutions to develop demand driven and sustainable products, designing and delivering training programs on strategy, human resource development and sustainable finance. Others include strengthening capacities of business incubators, accelerators and startups, review of financial inclusion strategies, management of microfinance apex funds, among others. He has over the years built strong end-to-end project management capabilities including proposal development and design, team leadership, stakeholder management, reporting and overall quality assurance. Before joining Frankfurt School, Jonathan held senior management positions in the microfinance industry in Uganda and South Sudan.

Mr. Nkoola holds a Master’s in development studies from Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi and B.A. Social Sciences from Makerere University. He has also earned post qualification certifications in SME finance, digital finance, financial inclusion policy and sustainable finance from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management gGmbH.
