Environmental Alert, in collaboration with Südwind and with support from the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection of the Republic of Austria, is implementing the project titled ‘Resilient Communities to Health and Climate Change Hazards in Uganda (RCHCH-U)’ in the disaster-prone districts of Kasese and Ntoroko, where communities experience flooding, riverbank erosion, landslides, prolonged dry periods, soil degradation, and declining vegetation cover. These hazards affect agricultural production and livelihoods through the loss of fertile topsoil, damage to crops and property, and degradation of productive land.
