Running Out Of Trees Newsletter – August 2026

The August ROOTs Newsletter highlights Uganda’s growing movement to restore forests through youth leadership, partnerships and community action. Stories showcase tree-growing initiatives, forest mapping, sustainable livelihoods, avocado production, pollinator protection and regional conservation efforts. The edition emphasizes that restoration goes beyond planting trees, it requires nurturing, monitoring, protecting and ensuring trees survive while creating resilient communities and a greener Uganda.

Running Out Of Trees Newsletter – July 2026

Over the past five years, the ROOTs Campaign has united schools, cultural and religious institutions, local governments, businesses, and citizens around a common purpose. Together, we have planted more than 82 million tree seedlings in over 130 different species, proving that when Ugandans work together, remarkable transformation is possible, one tree at a time.
