Care international in Uganda with Financial support from DANIDA, is implementing a 4-year project titled ‘Strengthening Resilience and Promoting Inclusive Governance for women and youth in vulnerable communities (STRENPO). The project is implemented jointly with 4 other partners with EA and ACODE at National and JESE and RICE-WN at Sub national levels (Arua, Kyegegwa and Kyenjojo).
Therefore, for effective coordination and collaboration between partners, a program coordination committee (PCC) was established to act as a platform for STRENPO implementing partners to synergize, share information, coordinate their activities and develop joint actions and strategies. In the same regard the PCC promotes accountability amongst partners through review of progress of implementation.
PCC is held quarterly and the leadership of the PCC is rotational among implementing partners that includes field visits as well. Environmental Alert is the current chair and It’s against this background that a program coordination committee meeting has been organized to share, reflect and plan for effective implementation of the STRENPO project.
To provide a platform for STRENPO implementing partners to synergize, share information, coordinate their activities and develop joint actions and strategies.
Objectives of the PCC
- To understand and pick up issues surrounding project implementation.
- To share partners’ progress reports, reflect and plan for effective implementation of the STRENPO project.
- To reflect on the apparent challenges impeding implementation of the project and come up with remedial actions.
- Appraise the partnership progress to understand sticky issues and design way forward.
Activity shall take place from 29th March -1st April 2021 in Arua
